[attr="class","NewsBack"] [attr="class","NewsBigTitle"]What Type of Characters? [attr="class","NewsSmallTitle"]Secret Identities These are characters who actually have Accounts, however they also have secret identities. How do you have a mystery forum without superheroes with no masks, murderer's with no clues, and demons no secret forms? Really... Its fun, try it out with your next character, flirt with the school teacher... Nobody will know. [attr="class","NewsSmallTitle"]Mock Characters A mock character is a character you haven't fully developed or have no idea what you want to do with. They are characters you want to make but are uncertain "HOW" you want to make them. Such as :
What abilities should they have? What race? What kind of backstory or attitude will they have?
Just log onto your OtC account after filling out the PM form, and start roleplaying away. The goal is to make this uncomplicated and easy to use. Mock characters can be changed and developed over time, till you are 100% certain you want this character and ready to commit to a full bio. [attr="class","NewsSmallTitle"]Non-Player Characters These are characters who are normally brought up in your threads, you don't even need a OtC account for these guys. However, it isn't really allowed to have more than 50% of the thread dialogue and description to be NPC. So? What does this have to do with OtC? Ever had a NPC you created just to fill a role? Only to realize..
‘Hey, I like this character’ That’s where this system shines, it allows you to develop that character to have a bigger role on the roleplay. [attr="class","NewsSmallTitle"]Future/Past/Au Characters These are actually characters who are based on our favorite characters that have made an appearance on the forum. They are usually Time travelers, world travelers, or simply captives of mis-portaling. These characters will be roleplayed on the OtC account until you are certain you want them permanently. [attr="class","NewsSmallTitle"]Wanted Characters These are characters requested by members, and you are interested enough to roleplay the character. However, because they were not yours are struggling with creating a bio for them. Why not go ahead and use them on the OtC account?
This is to give you time to you figure out or bond with that said character and develop how you want them to interact. Just you want to help other members does not mean you have to struggle to do so. An important warning to be known to all members. Anyone who posts in the Wanted Ads: Anyone has the ability to take a character posted. They can do as they wish, so please plan carefully when doing so. This Is Just A Fair Warning.
